Redneck carpenters, What does radius mean?

Rough in opening dimensions for a wall oven:

Height (min/max) 48.875"
Width (min/max) 28.5"
Upper Corner Radius (preferred) .5"

Does this mean that I can use a 1" drill bit to make each upper corner in the wall?
Not so much asking "how" you would go about it.
Just asking if the 1" drill bit will be making a .5" radius?

I guess square upper corners might not be covered by the face of the oven......

Yes, a 1 inch hole with have a .5 inch radius. So I am guessing the oven is rounded on the corners?

yes, you are correct about the corners of the oven not covering a square cut out....but thats what caulk is for .............

The 1" bit to get a .5" radius is what made sense to me.

I started over thinking it I guess...since the curve would only be 1/4 of any circumfrence.
And, it's carpentry stuff where a 2x4 isn't.
No template and oven isn't here yet. Just trying to get the wall ready.
And, I read some instructions (recently) that said to drill a hole with a 1" radius. Which, made me scratch my head as to WHY any company would write instructions like that?

Usually on blueprints .5 is 5/10ths = 6"

.5' = 6"
.5" = 1/2"

And I was all set till I saw that framing square.
