    Ranger 375

I bought an 87 375 ranger with everything original on it.It has a bench seat with both the driver and passenger seats tilting up for storage under them.My question is the ,does the center seat tilt up for storage,I cant tell and dont want to break something if it is not supposed to tilt forward.it might just be stuck.Does anyone know. Thanks

My 84 center seat does not have storage, you can actually tilt the seat forward it is hinged in the front. I removed the seat and put grip tape down on the glass to step on, and then I used industrial 3M velco and reattached the seat to look stock. Then when you have someone fishing with you all you have to do is take the seat out and you have a step to get on the back deck instead of stepping on the cusshion.

The center seat bottom has no storage under it. It does tilt up from the back (with hinges on the front) as ZReel stated above. however, you will have to remove the seat back cusion first by removing to bolts located in the rear live well. the seat bottom is not intended to be moved except for replacing and/or recovering. if you can tilt the bottom up without removing the back rest that means the bottom cusion is wore out or has been modified. I hope this helps. If you have any other questions about a 375V, let me know.

FYI........If you feel like a restoration project take out the seat and make your own storage compartment underneath. That's what I did in my 89' 374V restore. You can see the pics in my thread (89' Ranger 374V restore) in the restoration forum. BTW.....if your tanks are in the bilge area you should only have foam underneath that seat. I took out the foam, built a box of plywood and glassed it in and put a hatch compartment on top.

No storage, '84 395V has the same set up. You have yourself a great boat there.
