    Curado Tuning

What is the best improvements I can do on my Curado E7's, E5's and E 50. Do I just need to upgrade the bearings? Any help will be appreciated.

    Re: Curado Tuning (triton2)

i have a curado e7, and quite frankly, i don't think there's a need for upgraded bearings. Unless you're just wanting to go along w/the "jones' " . The only place I see upgraded bearings helping is fishing open water situations. Deep cranks, C'rigs, Traps. Places to where you really think the extra 10' feet casting distance will make the difference. Honestly, that's why I have a trolling motor. If I was to upgrade anything on reels, it would be the reels that I use light line on, and I would upgrade the drag system. JMHO.good luck, Josh

Boca orange seal bearings for both spool bearings, you can do the pinion bearing also. Carbontex carbon fiber drag washers. Other than that, about the only other thing you can do is super-tune it, which consists of lightly sanding and polishing the friction points on the spool shaft and inside the pinion gear to reduce rotational friction when casting. Hope this helps.
