    Oil Question

I have an 04 225HO DI. I have been running XD50 based on a dealers recommendation. Seems like on this board, most guys run XD100. Should I switch? And, if I do switch do I need to drain out the XD 50 or will they mix okay?
    Thanks,
    Greg

Greg, you can run the XD-100 and you do not need to drain the tank, just pour in it in.

    Re: Oil Question (RUSTY63)

What if I wanted to change from standard J/E oil to some of the new XD50 or XD100 oil. Would i need to drain it then?

    Iam running a '94 Evinrude 150 Intruder.

Bombardier Recreational Products. They made your engine. Took over from OMC.

    Re: Oil Question (Springseeker)

Guys, If you're running the carbed engines, unless you have deep pockets, the xd-100 would not be cost efficient. The DI and E-TEC motors meters it directly to the engines rather than mixing, thereby saving a lot of oil. On the carbed engines the xd-50 is an excellent oil. JMHO

Sorry to butt in, but Bombardier won the bid for OMC at the bankruptcy auction in March of 2002.

Seahorse, You gotta stop burstin everyone bubble.

Now, can you send me the excel spreadsheet with the Rebel vs Viper test?? I can't make head or tails out of the ones you posted once you get into the higher RPMS. It seems the RPMs are in the speed sections.
