Use your own box it's cheaper than the flat rate boxes.

That does sound kind of high. A box the size of a reel with a little padding, + insurance shouldn't be more that $6 sent Priority Mail I would think.

Use your own box, pad it well and ship it.

+1, i only use the flat rate boxes if something is going to be really heavy.
Flat rate is only a deal for heavy items. other wise it is not. as everyone else said, use your own box, if its less than a pound it can ship first class for even cheaper and the same speed.![]()
