I have a St. Croix Mojo rod. The swimbait rod. It's 7'9" heavy i believe. Can handle up to 4oz baits. I paired it with a bps extreme. I can launch the a-rig with that rod. And for it to be a big rod, its very lightweight.
Not sure how it's gonna work out but I have mine on a S.R. 7'2" Jig rod with a Quantum Energy 6.3:1 reel spooled with 50lb braid.

I looked at the 7'11" Veritas but its only rated for up to 1.5oz baits
The best setup i have tested to date in this price range is the Shimano Crucial Swimbait Med Heavy or Heavy depending on the weight of the A-rig your throwing. 2-4oz work great on the mh rod. 3-6oz work best on the heavy. You can use any gear speed reel you want. The bait does not pull very hard. I have been using a Lews Tournament 6.4 reel.
Be sure to keep your drag loose!!!![]()

this setup is guarenteed to pull in a 5-6lbder on each bait
because this is a rig that allows you to throw up to 5 baits.

Watch Your Six! I Have A Solution!
An Ambassador 5500 C4 is a very good reel to choose. They hold Plenty of line, & have a 6.3-1 retrieve. Easy to work on, etc.
Unless you really plan on throwing the A Rig alot, I would just use a 7' 6" MH flipping stick. Its not like you really need anything sensitive.
