Peyton Manning not going to play again

That's too Bad.......liked watching him play too.

Sucks that an injury & surgery like that can take a guy out to where you don't recover right again to play.

2 Sources with the team........according to Media reports release last night & this morning.

"Recover rates are slowing and the nerves in his arm are not healing well enough. He has not had any Improvement since Decembers Practices"

there are 2 blogs right now that say its too early to call but there are conflicting reports from un-names sources that he may not play again & might retire after march 8th when he will get his 28 million bonus

It's still speculation at this point in time.............nothing has been confirmed yet.

Whether its true or not, I said in the beginning that I dont see how he could continue to play after that surgery. I had multi-level spine fusion (with a titanium plate) last July and it has effectively ended my 29 year career in the military. There's no way in hell he could survive a 300 pound lineman slamming him to the ground. I can hardly hold a spinning rod!!

I'd rather him walk away and be in one piece than try to favre it for the next 2 seasons.

Re: Peyton Manning not going to play again (R.D.)

No mention of Peyton not playing is coming out of any Indy news programs I saw this morning. They are saying that it is still yet to be determined. He's not had his health evaluation yet...at least that's what is being said on Indy news. I do hope that if it isn't safe for him to play, that he retires. It would be terrible to see him be permanently disabled.

To play again would be foolish...assuming I have the detials of his procedure correct.

If it's true its really sad. I hope for his sake it's not but if it is he will be successful in his next career. Whether thats as a coach, or tv analyst, or heck, selling hot dogs. The guys a winner at life and thats really all that matters. Total class act imho.

    This!!

Regardless, Peyton Manning is a class act and had an outstanding NFL career if he never takes another snap. Regardless of his decision, I wish him the best in whatever he decides to do

Until Peyton himself does a news conference and says he is not playing anymore then I will believe it..

Now.. Do I think he will ever play again? Ehh not sure on that..

Hell here in Indy on the local ESPN AM station they are taking just as much about Peyton as they are the Super Bowl

And he was not too bad with the Jets.
