White Knuckles at the Caloosahatchee River

Brent and I decided to go to the Caloosahatchee River with Knuckles yesterday despite the 15 to 20 MPH winds, we had hoped for a calm day but had wind from last Thursday all the way through Sunday so we were down to the last day of my stay and decided to go and make some runs anyway.

There was NO way we could run the boat to it's potential due to the cross winds but we each broke 115 Brent got 116 or so but it was kinda hairy some times and we had to back out each run at some point for safety reasons. We saw some great guys from Scream and Fly out there with their awesome flats boat with a 300XS and for me it was good to get some seat time again in WK. It's not like you just jump in that boat and it's like back to your full potential driving wise. Guys like Brent,Kurt, Paul Nichols and Shook are a special breed who have skills that are beyond belief. I learn more every time I get to run WK with Brent and I appreciate that a lot!

Here are some passes of each of us. Click on each picture to roll the video.

Re: White Knuckles at the Caloosahatchee River (250bassFL)

Thanks guys, Brent and I had a fun time. It was way to windy to hit the 120+ the boat usually does but it's still always great and a challenge to drive White Knuckles. She lets you know in very uncertain terms "who the boss" is and it's the boat not the driver. I just try to listen very carefully to what she's telling me and Sunday in 15 to 20 mph cross winds she was saying 115 to 116 was MORE than enough!

My hat is off to anyone that can drive a bass boat that fast.
