    Got a tournament question

A club I belong to has always been 100% payback, but they got enough sponsor support to keep it that way. Last year they lowered it to 90% payback which is still darn good, but I got to thinking. The membership fee is only 20$ and its a team event so if we get 20 teams and change the membership fee to 30$ thats another 400$ per year for fees and trophies. So what I'm wondering is, would you rather have the 20$ membership fee or 100% payback tournament. To me 10$ isn't that much more and I think being able to say we are the only 100% payback tournament around would draw more interest.

    haha, let me clarify.

    A. 20$ membership fee and 90% payback
    B. 30$ membership fee and 100% payback.

$30 isnt much for a club membership fee. I would go with that just to be able to say your events are %100 payback.

I'd go for the $27.50 membership fee and a 93.78% payback. Everyone should be happy with that You're WELCOME!

If a train is westbound from Chicago going 30 MPH., and another train is headed north out of Atlanta at 40 MPH. Does it really matter?

Re: Got a tournament question (sandbarDan)

One reason I quit our club is our dues were $10 A MONTH....I was treasurer for a while and it is because they are BASS affiliated. I am very curious on how other BASS affiliated clubs run their dues. Our club would pay for our team entry that went to federation tourney if I remember right, so does that sound about right?

We have $25 membership fee and 100% payback. No trophys or placques but we do pay 1st,2nd and 3rd angler of the year. We also put what we have into our classic at the end of the year. What kind of fees do a bass club have? We just want to have a reason to go out and fish against each other.

We have to pay ramp fees and get permits and then trophies, maintenance on the equipment(scales, bags, trailer) websites. etc.

my fish club is BASS and FLW affiliated the club dues are $25 + kbf and tbf dues so if you join both sides its about $95.00 not to mention you also have to be a member of BASS for $20 or so a year

Of course they're different. You ever tried roasting a rock?
