First and only Manning quarterback to both attend Ole Miss and win a Super Bowl.

Took a beating yesterday for sure. Great job and really coming into his own this year and starting to eclipse his brother with clutch efforts.

Agreed, they're going to be a handful in two weeks, but I think the Pats will win it. Take away one of those two stupid plays on the 49ers punt returns, and the Giants would have lost that game yesterday. I can understand the second one where it got knocked out, but the first one?! Why on earth did he even bother getting that close to the ball if he wasn't intending on fielding it?!

Re: Eli Manning........strong side/ weak side (Snover)

Both games, and all four teams had their gaffs.......If it wasn't for a reciever not holding on to the ball the ravens would have gone the SB....... No to mention a missed FG from a Probowl FG kicker....... Hey its playoff football....

They are feeding OSi, Jason and JPP red meat for the next week, then cutting them off for a week...... they will be hungry come SB.......

Too true. Good job by Moore to slap that ball out of his hands, he saved the Pats the game with that play.

I wanted to see the 49ers make it, because Harbaugh seems like a nice enough guy, I certainly like his approach to handling his players a lot better than some coaches out there....but I'm not going to lie, the idea of a Pats v. Giants superbowl rematch was also on my mind.

I'll give credit where credit is due....Eli is playing like an Elite QB. Guy had to dust himself off far too much last night, and he just kept coming back.

"Don't you mean if it wasn't for a fine defensive play" ????? He didn't drop it, the ball was knocked out of his hands before he had possesion of it.

An if "if" was a fifth, I'd have a buzz by now.

For the record, that was a quote from Basscat 21, not the opinion of this poster or the NFL

Have to give props to Eli,very little run support. He has a heck of a QB rating against teams without a dominant pass rush. When his "O" line does pass block he can make all of the throws. He's also making a D2 receiver look great.

my son was was headed to duck camp last winter when he stopped by a delta hunting store to load up...was looking at shells in the display case when a guy came over and asked him about different loads.

    you guessed it...it was eli.

they talked hunting for dang near an hour before each had to go...he never mentioned his name...never pushed his weight...and even thanked my son for helping him with the info...just a regular guy shooting at ducks.

oh yea, the first thing the boy (who is 6'2" and a lean 200) told me was, "he sure don't look it on t.v., but that sumbitch is huge."
