    I'm very, very fortunate

The tornado on April 27 that destroyed much of Tuscaloosa and beyond crossed the road 1/4 of a mile from my house and we came out unscathed. At about 4 this morning, we were in a similar situation. Many of the homes down the road from me are completely leveled or simply gone. I haven't been out to look because I don't want to get in the way, but I'm watching aerial footage on TV and it's devastating.

So far there have been two deaths, let's hope there aren't anymore.

I am a fisherman for life! I will always be a fisherman! It's not something I do, it is who I am. Fishing is not an escape, it is where I belong, where I am supposed to be. It is not a place, but a life long journey. It is a passage my father showed me and that I will show others.

The one that tore up Maplesville Al, passed about 5 miles south of my house when it crossed I65. We were real nervous at 5am this morning, hell of a way to start a Monday! We were fortunate in all we got was alot of wind, and alot of rain. Big prayers to everybody that was affected this morning, will be stopping at the store on the way home to donate some food/water.
