What's it worth?

My wife and I are in a bit of a financial pickle and for the good of the family i think I'm going to sell my boat to generate some cash and get some bills paid off. Any one know a ballpark what a 1986 17.5' Venture Regatta Bass boat with a 1985 Evinrude 90HP would be worth. It has a trailer with spare in decent shape. Lowrance X510c on the bow and Lowrance LMS 525C DF with GPS on the console. Minn Kota Edge 55# trolling motor that is 3 years old.

Lets start with what you think it is worth then cut it in half.... so if you think it is worth 6k then ask 3 for it.... any extras don't really mean a thing.....

Check out NADA for it and you'll be close. I had that boat in an 88 model with an 89 150 and sold it for 2800 about 3yrs ago and it needed a couple of minor repairs. Good ol' boat but not going to pull a lot of value due to not a big name and no longer manufactured. Good luck on the sale and the finances.

you know, you have to really look at it, a lot of times stuff that we over look, or get used to, can really bring down the value. If the boat means a ton to you, have you looked at other options? Selling equity is a fast fix. But it will be real hard to replace that boat if it is in good shape for what you will make off of it now. JMO
For the boat, if it's in a good fishable state, I'd say somewhere from 3-4k Good luck buddy, I'll be everything works for you and you're family.

I too had a Venture. Mine was a 1986 Magnum 17/150Black Max. In 2004, I sold it for $4500. I would bet you could get $2500-3000 or a bit more if it's in really good shape. Those were awesome boats! Good luck!!

Thats the thing that sucks about selling your baby...to you it is worth the world........to someone else...not the case.
