    How do I get this cover off

    I am preping to do some paiting and have a few switch covers like this and cant figure out how they come off. Anyone know?

    Looks like a snap on cover.....Should be able to just pop it off with a small straight-blade screwdriver or something similar.

    Yeah that's what I thought, been prying but not moving and I didn't want to break it. I'll put some more muscle behind it.

    There may be a small notch on the bottom of the cover plate made for popping the cover off, just a guess. It's been a while since I've messed with one.

    one edge, top or bottom should have a tab under it, small screw driver will release the inner tabs that are holding it....at least that what i have found on GF's that i have put in recently w/same type cover...if you break it there less than a buck

    yep bet its on the bottom so you can't see it

    its really fun how something so simple can take a few minutes to figure out ........been there myself a few times
