Crossed that bridge on my motorcycle trip to the U. P. earlier this year. Was a bit nerve racking on a pretty day! Can't even imagine being there now!

I love Mighty Mac. I have walked it 6 times on Labor Day. My wife and I were fortunate enough to release a Monopoly version for the Straits area in June of 2011 called Mackinac-Opoly. What a blast it was to take my "business trips" to St. Ignace, the Island and Mackinaw City (the city is the only -aw ending, everything else is ac - dear Lord, don't let the locals get a hold of you if you make this mistake!) Was only concerned 1 time on a walk when I could physically feel the bridge swaying (made to sway as much as 18 feet east & west). Felt like I was coming of a drinking binge and was a little hard to walk at times. Very beautiful place!

It's been several years since I've ventured up that way. Bunch of us guys took a motorcyle trip and spent about 3-4 days in that area....beautiful place.
We had a great time on the island and all went well until one of my buddy's bag of souvenir T-shirts and hats blew overboard on the ride back to the mainland {Ferryboat}.
Talk about windy conditions....anyways, there went about $100.00 down the drain.
Been over it several times going to Escanaba to work at the papermill!!
