We got a day pass there when we went to Sandals. It was nice and was a pretty neat place. We hit all the major rides first thing in the morning before the lines got long. There's lots to do just outside the resort and downtown also. But it was very $$$ on the resort. Check out some of the hotels that are near the resort if you want to save some money. I'm sure they sell some type of packages. I'd look into that for sure. The Bahamas was a real nice place. Will definitely go back some day!

We stayed there and were surprised at how expensive it was.We have been to a lot of resorts in lots of countries and this place was cashy. Also when the cruise ships drop off their passengers in the morning you better stay clear,it gets real crowded, real fast.We ventured into Town and everbody was really out to get you.

    Re: Atlantis

Well, I checked into this a little more today. They are currently offering 4th night free and a $250 air fare credit. Seems like a good deal However...

They are tacking on close to $1,300 worth of fees, gratuities and other charges that is making this trip too unreasonable for me. I am trying to figure out exactly who I am tipping if there is no meal plan involved in this trip? I don't mind handing out tips to folks in the service industry but it's usually after the service was received.

Unfortunately I am going to have to pass.

Thanks for the replies everyone. It does look like a fun place to go but those who have responded expensive are correct from what I have found.

Be forwarned about the gratuity taxes there. They tack on to the hotel for tips. It is around $50.00 give or take a little per day. My rooms have been comped and I still paid that much just taxes and gratuities. Also no matter where you eat there is a gratuity tax on the check at 15-20% I think it is. The service sucks at most restuarants cause they know they get the tip no matter if they work for it or not. In all fairness service is not bad in all places just most places. The Atlantis is a very nice place indeed. I just don't care about going back and it is mostly because of the service. In a tourist country I would expect them to be more service oriented.
