    E-TEC and WP

    Guys,

When I start up my 200 HO, I don't get any WP registered on the guage for about 30 seconds, then it pops up to about 6 PSI. Immediately after starting there is the visual stream out the back of the motor, so I know I am pumping water. Is this normal?

Also, the guage is only reading about 14psi at WOT, no mater how deep I run the motor. When I first ran the boat I saw 18-20 psi, but since that first run the WP is down I am thinking I have some kind of obstruction, since I did idle through a weedy channel. Does this seem reasonable, or do I have a funky guage? Can I just blow air at about 20 psi back through the WP guage line to try to clear it?

    Thanks.
