    trim unit falling over night

Motor 2000 225 Johnson HO model J225HGLSSC. Two questions. First, I used to store my motor on the motor support bracket when I parked my boat in the garage at night but we have recently moved into a new home and I need to leave the motor at neutral trim in order to fit in the garage. When doing this I noticed over night that the motor was all the way down the next day. Is this normal? This leads to my second question which is where can I find the High Output sticker that is on the back of the motor. When the motor fell on night it dragged the decal across a shelf in the garage which ruined the decal. Thanks.

Locate the manual release. Run the engine tilt all the way up.( Make sure you have something to pad the skeg if it's going to hit the ground when it goes all the way down). Then open the releases 3 turns, let the engine come all the way down. Tighten the manual release. Repeat this at least 5 times to pass debris that may be blocking the valve assembly. If the problem still exist, replace the manual release valve, if the problem still exist after that. The unit may need further attention, rebuild/reseal job.Get the HO sticker at the dealership, just don't ask for the H.O. hat for the DI engines cause' you'll be disappointed!
