A Different Perspective on the Influence Of the A-Rig...

Our local Elite Pro on here not long ago made a comment on how much the influence of sponsor's money has on the decisions and rules of BASS. With all of the talk about BASS banning the A-Rig, I believe there would be an uprising from the bait and tackle companies. Not only are they reaping the profit of the Rigs them selves but like someone stated in a different post, they were unable to even find swivels, snaps and wire locally to build them. Another post leads me to expand even further, soft swimbaits, someone posted you couldn't even find any in the local shops. Thats swimbaits at a rate 5 times more used than before.
If BASS does ban the Rig, there will be a lot of money lost in potential sales. If BASS bans it, I'm sure most of the smaller trails will follow suit.
It looks like the small bait makers would be pushing their hand poured swimbaits alot more and getting in on the bandwagon. JM2¢.

I made a few rigs for us to use but not hopping on the bandwagon. I watched them all sell out at the tackle show and even displayed our Chicken Foot on one. But I don't think it will last and decided not to invest in a product setup to push to go with it. Not going to bash it though. Just in wait and see mode.

BASS won't ban it. The politics/sponsors/money of it is too much right now.
I think the new secret color is "A-Rig"..........

I was looking at another web site, a guy was showing how he makes simple ones, I will do this, I have a hard time dropping $$$$ on (FAD) product. They do seem to catch fish.

Remember after the classic last year how high demand there was on that one square bill???? I laugh every time I see one for sale now. Someone taking a loss on it when last spring everyone would pay double price on it. Wait another month after the Classic and we'll all think we need the "NEW BEST LURE"

What I want to know is....WHEN (water temp?) will this stupid thing stop working? It was suppossed to be a fall season thing, pretty much done with by the time the water hit mid 50's.
It still working great here, in 45 deg water, January.
    It's crazy!

I can fully understand not wanting to invest in the equipment to make the rig, I guess I was thinking more along the lines of the swimbaits and jig heads that are used on the Rig. Most are already setup with these molds.
