A Different Approach On The Tebow Phenomenon...

Heard this on sports talk radio today:

If Tim Tebow was a Muslim would people feel the same way about him?

If Tebow was Muslim, would there be as much dislike of him as opposed to the Christian one?

Sorry, been so wrapped up in the NH primary I kinda lost track of everything else...now that the election is over I'll try and update myself on current events so it doesn't occur again.

Well, I think personally, he's criticised so much because he's a Christian!!! Honestly, I don't believe there would be NEARLY as much Tebow talk were he not so outspoken about his faith!!!

If he were Muslim we'd have to have a mosque built in every stadium he plays in, stop play after each touchdown and alot him 10 minutes to pray before restarting the game, all the stadiums would have to be rebuilt so they face Mecca. All for the sake of "tolerance" .
Then some Islamist terrorist would bomb the stadium because we haven't done enough to accommodate their peaceful religion

How many players in the NFL toss up a prayer every time they score a touchdown?

    What makes Tebow any different.

What about the other players that aren't the current media darlings, but still keep the faith?

I feel like I am a horrible person, everytime I hear something about that "peaceful religion" my blood begins to boil and I really begin to hate. I know it is not christian of me but I'm so tired of the holy war they fight against us yet we are to politically correct to call it like it is.....oh sorry, Tebow sucks?

He is criticized on his play and someone always has to through in something about his morals and faith like that should be calculated in to his QB rating. IT has nothing to do with his ablitys.

Although if he were muslim his rib protecter would be made of C4

Re: A Different Approach On The Tebow Phenomenon... (Newt)

If you read about what happened to Tim with one of his coaches last year and how the coach yelled, cussed and did everything he could to Tim. His teammates could not believe how the coach was treating Tim. He won the team over with the way he acted. Like a man, a Christian man..
The coach left for another team at the start of the season. I wish I would have saved the newsapaper article..

I am not a Tebow fan per-say but I am a fan of Christian people. We should all hope to be lucky enough to be persecuted for our Saviors name sake. Just a side note, the other guys that make some religious signal and then act like....well they do, they receive no attention for being religious. But if you will notice he walks the walk and talks the talk. It does not seem to be a show, so people will persecute him and watch him like a hawk until he does mess up (as we all do), and then it will be spun into a look what Christians do thing. The bible says that it will be that way though so it should be no surprise. Keep the faith Tebow, keep doing what you do.

I'm not a fan of pro sports in any form. I just don't watch.
The whole tebow thing has peaked my curiosity, so I watched a few things and read quite a bit. I'm familiar with him from his days as a gator, but wanted to get an update.
I wish Tim nothing but the best and agree with your post 100%.
