    Stainless Steel Fenders

Looking for a pair of stainless steel fenders for the 198's tandem axle trailer. Had a blow out last weekend that tore up the paint on the outside of one fender. This, combined with the little bit of surface rust around the diamond plate portions, has me thinking cost of repaint -v- stainless fenders may be close to equal. Anybody have a couple. I emailed C&O but haven't heard back yet.

Yeah - try (MFI Trailers) - They put original stainless (with the ChampioN Logo stamped on 'em) on my new trailer last year about this time... That would be the deal right there....

C&O put SS ones on for me a few years back, been very happy with them. I had a couple of blowouts then I hit a deer....my fenders were toast.

You may want to consult with Butch before buying SS fenders. He can give you advice on how to become an OCD clean freak. I have had SS fenders and decided never again. The up keep to keep them new looking sucks.

Those scary Marathons. Watch them close. Especially if they are the china made ones.

Since the Champ Elites can be special ordered with the Champion stamped SS fenders, you might check with them if C&O has none.

Not Lea but, one thing that i did take into account. Your shoe soles will scratch them. On my present Champion I had the factory install some diamond plate so i could step on top. I'm sure any kind of step material will do. As for keeping them looking good i use Never-Dull to remove the scratches if their are any, polish with Meguiars polish. In between Windex. I just wanted to share with you too.

Yep, my 203 trailer came with the diamond plates on the fenders. I have found that Mother's Polish works well too.

Mother's and Never-dull. Both good. I do not have the diamond plate on mine and just make sure neither my partner nor I step on them.

I also have some wipes made for SS, but not sure of the brand. Google shows a bunch...
