    Well pump question for plumbers

my pump ( 3/4 starite) had run hot about a month ago, due to the fill pump to the aereator tank messing up.( i pump water from the well to the tank, then from the tank to the house ) .it melted the threads on the pressure side ( top ) of the pump...was repaired, and everything worked ok for a while..now it was acting strangely, by letting the water pressure drop to zero before kicking the pump on.
.i changed the presssure switch, checked the bladder tank, and it still wont work,, i discovered no water pressure is going through the plastic tubing to the pressure switch, could it finally have melted/ plugged up inside the pump housing ? im thinking im gonna need a new pump, for after the overheating incident, the bearings are screaming....anything im missing here ?

What pressure does the pump cut off at? You could always pull the tubing and see if you can blow through it.

Impeller might have burnt up on the shaft if it got that hot.

when the pump is running, it pressurizes the system just fine, impeller seems ok...i think the fitting or something has melted in the pump housing....sounds like new pump time....

A bad capacitor in the pump controller acts like that.
