Bassboogieman and I are driving down to Lake Toho area in a few minutes with our kayaks for a week of bass fishing and/or alligator feeding.... Hope to find some warm weather and a few bass.....

I had a six foot gator surface right beside my kayak last weekend. I mean within a foot. I don't know who was more startled when he realized that my yak wasn't a log.

I did that paddling a canoe in the Okefenokee Swamp.

For those that aren't familiar, in the Oke', there are canoe trails that are pretty well little meandering canals, in many places only about 4 or 5 feet wide, through the thick forest (trees completely covering you in many places).

Well, coming around a sharp bend, I push off a log with my paddle... Yep, that sure 'nuff wasn't a log. Pissed off a 4 - 5 footer, and he had one arm over the gunwale, and his mouth was dang near about to follow that foot.
