Anyone tow a camper with their new Ford 5.0?

Just wondering what size it was and what it did as far as MPG?

according to the 1000's of posts....I thought the ONLY engine Ford has is that dagnabit Eco-boost thingy

My son has a 1992 F100 stepside with the 5.0 that will pull the doors off a camper. Your new one should do real good.

You sure he doest have the 351? My 95 5.0 wouldnt pull my head out of my --- The new 5.0 pulls the boat fine but mileage dropped to 15 so really wondering what a comper is going to do. I think it does better the sooner I get up to cruse speed and not slowly get there.

302....5.0 I used it for a spell while my old truck was down. He really thinks it can outrun my 2009 Chebby...

Haven't pulled a camper, but I'm averaging around 15 in the summer when I've got the boat behind my 2011 F-150 with the new 5.0.

What did the vibration problem end up being?

Pulled many a mile with the old 302.

Expect 8-10 MPG pulling a RV.

When you hook up a RV is when the oil burners shine. Frontal area alone is a bear pulling one down the interstate.

What would an oil burner get like a f-250 or chevy?

I pull a 34ft camper that weighs right 10K loaded with my 2011 Silverado 1500 5.3 and got 9-10 mpg. I will pulling it 150 miles tomorrow for the first time with the 6.2 and I expect the same mileage. Your Ford should get right at the same as the Silverado.
