whats your wife, significant other carrying??? conceal carry option

mine has always showed interest in guns, and grew up shooting them. Not right now, but soon i am going to get her something. Looking at the Lcr, or smith 38 airwieght. Going to take her to get her conceal carry pretty soon. just curious what you alls lady friends are carrying.

My wife doesn't carry but I have a LCR .357 and really like it. However, it is not the best gun to shoot. It has a lot of recoil because of the short barrel and light weight. I would not recommend the .357 to a female. When shooting .38 rounds it is much better and would probably be okay for a female. Hope this helps.

My significant other, (yep I have one ) doesn't carry, but she wants a pistol. Probably she will get a 380 of some type. I have a Kel Tec.

Have her shoot that gun before you buy, it has a lot of recoil for a petite woman, if she has larger hands and can get a good grip, she might like it.

Re: whats your wife, significant other carryin ... (SOONER*REDNECK)

My Wife does'nt carry but our Daughter teaches Womens CCW classes in Wa. Her Carry Gun is a Smith .357, not sure what model. From what she has told me about doing the womens classes it is very important to expose your wife to the gun and put in the practise time with her. She has had women sent to the classes with their new gun that hubby bought them and just sent them to the class. Some so afraid of the gun that they are litterally in tears!! Whenit comes to recoil it depends on the experience of the woman. My daughter is only 5 ft. nothin tall and has shot and hunted her whole life so she has no problem with the .357.

I'd have to recommend the S&W Bodyguard 380 or Ruger LCP.

I wouldn't suggest the airweight 38 unless she has shot quite a bit. I had one and my wife shot it a few times but it had some good recoil and IMO did not feel good in my hand at all.

Does she conceal it or does she flaunt it...........

I live in MA, we are not allowed to own slingshots, so a gun will be a problem.
