    Oil alarm

    My 99 Fitch sets off the no oil alarm for no reason, have switched to pure synthic oil as told by the manufacture rep, any help!!

    You may have a bad switch or you may be losing oil pressure. What synthetic oil are you using? If it is going off, something has to activate it. If the tech runs the oil pressure and checks the pulse hoses for oil entry, if these check out, if he has checked the system thoroughly, the replace the guage. You need to exhaust all other possibilities before replacing the guage!!

    Had the same thing happen on the way to Catilina island last year. Check the oil sencer. I had corosion where the wire conected to the sencer. A little emery paper and she was good as new. Good luck with it ! Joe

    mine did the same thing for the longest time, only when running slow for an extended period (like a no wake zone). I was told by the mechanic at the dealership to change the oil pump, I changed the oil pump ($150) and it never did it again.
