I'm going wherever you're going. Got all my stuff packed and in the truck.![]()
If you are driving your truck up to camp also then I will load my truck and we will head straight for camp instead of stopping by Monticello on the way back

Just got done packing all my stuff. Getting the car packed now to head down to Fairfield for a social hunt. Looking for a big one to mount this year.
Next year I'm getting a bow and a tree stand!

I got my tag filled. Nice 8 pt filled the void in the curled up sticker. Today I helped skin all 5 we brought brought home and cut them up. I am taking my meat to Matthiesen's for final processing and making some sticks. I have some steaks in the freezer and will cook them up later. I left most of the deer with my partner to send to his dad out east.
Has the snow thawed yet? I need a few hours on the water

Pretty skimpy up here this year. The group only killed two bucks. But we did get about a dozen does. The midget actually killed 4 of them!! Could have had a couple more but he panicked during the "deer stampede" on the last drive.![]()

I hunted down near Fairfield, no snow at all. I saw over 150 deer. There were 20 of us hunting. The 5 deer we brought home was between the four of us from Blue Grass area (and me) We hunted on the area one guy farms that is 10,000 acres. He doesn't own every acre but his rules are if he rents the tillable land he can hunt the timber. We drove 13 different places and two years ago when I went we were on different places also. Best social hunting I've been on.
Hey I missed out on a huge 12 pt because I was admiring his rack and by the time I got the shotgun up, someone else fired at another deer and he scooted down over the hill and out of sight. He will live on and it saved me $400 from mounting his damn head. lol

I was 3 for 5 on my first five shots..... and one for about 12 during the stampede
. First time I'd ever experienced anything like that. Learned my lesson though, next year they'll be piled up
