anybody familiar with the sabula area of the mississippi?

I am going to be coming over that way next week and am looking for some help or a partner to fish with while I am there. Anybody lend a hand? I drove thru on bikes last year and saw miles of lilly pads.....are they as good as they look?

The boat ramp is none to be desired. If you put the boat in there you will have to stop by the Evinrude shop at the bottom of the hill coming into Sabula to pick up a parking pass. $5. For me, the pads in the boat ramp area are not that good, but "running" slough across the boat ramp has produced some nice fish for me in the past.

thanks for the info gonna head that way today and tomorrow gonna see what I can find........ of course I will have to make a stop at Poopys and the iron horse
