Headed down to Southwest Iowa this weekend. Picking my son up in DesMoines friday night and fishing all weekend. Hope to have some good reports next week

American Bass Anglers (D59) will be on 3 Mile Saturday.
The format might not be condusive to a father/son team (co-anglers are randomly paired with boaters) - but if you decide to fish there Saturday, give a wave to the orange Legend running around in circles.
HAWGZ Bass Series will be there Sunday - thats a team event so if you really get on them on Saturday (no off limits).... you guys might want to swing for a little money on Sunday! (I won't tell your Mrs. what you paid for the entry fee)

Orange Legend? Did we run into you guys last year at Brushy Creek during the Hawgz Tournament? There was a orange legend at the hotel in Webster City we stayed at.

Joe - yeah, that was me.
I had tackle whiplash this weekend... fished 3 Mile on Saturday (cold, way too windy and coffee colored water) and then Brushy on Sunday (still chilly, no wind with 10ft visability) - I didn't realize how clear Brushy was until the sun started to creep out - felt like an idiot throwing a giant colorado on a chartreuse spinner bait for the first 20 minutes of the day...

Lets hope for better weather on the next outing.

We fished a kids tournament on saturday at Twelve Mile. About 17 boats out there with kids all thinking "why is dad doing this to me?". It was simply miserable. Rolling whitecaps and frigid. Did you do any good this weekend?
