    Coralville tournament May 12th

OK.... are you ready for some HUGE weigh in totals. 29 boats....... 58 fishermen...... 58 fishermen x 8 hours of fishing = 464 hours of fishing.

2 bass brought to the scales. 2.6 lbs won the entire tournament. Way to go Iowa!!! Man we have some turds for reservoirs.

LMAO That is funny. I heard that tourny was going on and thought it would be funny to be at the weigh in. I figured one fish would win. I was at Mcbride during that and 2 of us cought 20 in a couple of hours. Prolly only 4 were keepers though. Nothing really big.

Coralville is just a disgrace right now. Why can't we have any big waters in eastern Iowa that are worth fishing besides the mississippi.

you're right. simply put, eastern Iowa doesn't have any lakes worth fishing. Geode is dead, coralville...... well just read the tournamnet results, macbride.... not that good and the cabin owners make it not worth a try. we could really use a new lake. maybe they could put a new lake in a little area called lake odessa

I've been following that for years now. seems like it's been nothing more than a fight over zoning. supposed to be a new one down here by mediapolis too. they were supposedly gonna start filling it in this spring.... we walked down there, they've got a lot of work to do yet.

everything I've heard is that they originally tried to design that after Brushy Creek. Dunno if that's true or not but I hope it is.

I would be nice if the DNR would put something in between CR and Waterloo. I ran into a crew last year sinking pallets in a quary I fish and asked them if they ever considered daming up the Cedar somewhere and make a decent sized resevoir(sp) but he said that would be to large a undertaking. Don't have a decent place to fish within 75 miles of Waterloo on anything bigger than a no wake lake.
Speaking of Brushy creek it's a nice like but a little big to be no wake. They should have cleared afew more trees so you could get from one end to the other a little quicker.IMO

That hasn't stopped a lot of people from running around on plane I guess no wake only applies to certain people

I fished Pleasant Creek on thursday night and only cought 2. There was a ton of musky chuckers out there. I agree there isn't a good lake around here that is really worth fishing. I just with I lived closer to the river and knew it better.
