Stopped by the Muscatine Slough after work today (Slough is basically an irrigation ditch that runs for miles). The bite was on. Caught about a dozen in an hour. Females are bulging with eggs. The only thing they would hit was a white Double Willow leaf spinnerbait. Which I abruptly lost ending the fun after that hour . I said this about a month ago but I hope I'm right this time..... it shoudn't be long now!!!

went out to the hennipin canal tonight for a couple hours and caught 10 on a speed craw biggest one went about 4lbs

A nice week of warm weather should really get things going. These fish have got be getting ready for some action. Should have a strong pre-spawn this year.

I finally put my boat in the water for more than 15 minutes yesterday to test out the new prop. Maybe i can get it out this weekend and do some fishing.
