Yes it does Mike, There are some things that just need to be dealer only and I guess Bomb thought this was one of them.
That is good and bad Roch is back at the helm and he is kicking butt and taking names that is one PO'ed Canunk and he want's quality product with no excuses! The Lambert' family has a long history with quality products and with the sale of BRP from the original BOMB family, they have alot of investors looking at them hard. Roch has alot riding on these motors I wouldn't want to be sitting in his seat when it comes time for a Board of Directors meeting! That maybe the reason they have blocked the Real Deal site for us mortals. But knowing how they (Lambert') work they will not take no for an answer and they will get these motors to production come hell or High water!
Yea but the people they are keeping it from is the one's paying 15-20,000 for em........... JMHO
Au contraire mon fraire! would you rather have a 15K brush pile anchor? This is an EXterme Technology Engineering Concept= E-TEC for them, mho they should have kept the DI's for a year or 2 and run them with the Mag XP GC to see how that would work. SH and Rusty can get mad at me, but a rush to development and production can and most times does lead to problems, I'm on the leading and bleeding edge everyday in my job and the learning curve from vendors is great, what looks good on paper sometimes doesn't pay out on the floor (read boat)! Produce it and let the field fix it doesn't work in todays economy.
He is the latest copy of "dealer only" issue of "The Real Deal"
Ok dealers, the HO is coming in two more weeks. For real this time. If any customer that has been waiting for the last 6 months ask: "Where is my HO I ordered in October 2004?" just reply: "Two more weeks!"
Can anyone tell me if this issue effects the E-Tec 225 DI also? We are waiting on a 225 DI (not the 225 HO)

The delay is effecting the HO motors only. It is to do with a part in the lower unit.
cm....are you sayimg the original bomb family is now selling out of brp? or am i just not reading you post correctly
thanks 4 the info rusty....i did not think so i was hoping i was reading it wrong after a long day.i would hate to see that because i think they (bombardier/evinrude) are making the best engines outhere now.
Good News! I got a call today and was informed that our E-Tec was shipped to Ranger! As of now, we have a finish date of April 1, and then the time it takes to ship... I'll keep my fingers crossed that all goes as planned
