Where did you mount your HB side imaging and/or LSS-1 transducers

I'm having a tough time getting any clear side imaging images with My HB 997si, and it may be due to my transducer location. I have it mounted under the hole shot plate.

Do any of you have pictures of where yours is mounted?

I have mine mounted kinda up inside my jack plate. I think there is a few pictures on here somewhere. May be in the HB forum. It hangs just below the bottom of the plate and works fine. I used a piece of 2x4 angle aluminum and mounted it in there.

I will see if I can find the link to the thread with my pics in it.

Well, I can't find them on here and I deleted the pics from my iPhone.

This is where I originally had mine.



Having it there produced a lot of interference.



So, I moved it down probably a couple of inches to where the bottom of the mounting bracket is flush with the "setback". The images on my 898 are much clearer now.

Wow, that 2nd shot is great. What are your settings?

Here is where mine is located. Maybe the lip of the hole shot plate is inteferring?
I'm thinking I might put a 1" aluminum block in between the hole shot plate and the mount.

I have no idea what the settings were for that image. I usually have to adjust them for every different body of water I'm on. I haven't found the magical perfect settings that work on all bodies of water.
If it wasn't for the interference lines, that would have been a great image. Maybe i'll go back to that spot and get new images.

How did you all get the wire to your console ? I have looked at my nephews 211 and don't see a place to pull the wire.

I have pulled wire on three differnet legends. What I do: take the glove box out from under gear shift, take boot off under console, run fish tape from back of boat to glove box hole and then run to boot hole. Very easy in a legend.
