I personally didn't like the trophy worth two poops. It wouldn't lift my boat and personally I thought it sucked all around. If you want to come out for our IL river run on July 21 you can try mine out. I got a feeling a 26 Fury is going to be a bit much for a 200 on a 209... but then again, my 209 with the 225 needs more prop. I'm not suprised you are loosing a few MPH. I hardly ever have mine loaded (mostly just a run around boat) but when I got the livewells full and a bunch of crap in the boat my RPM drops about 400-500... not sure what that is in MPH but it's substantial.

Herk, too much bow lift....??? Is there such a thing? lol

The bow just wont come up and fly like it does a few hundres pounds lighter.
Fury props run about a pitch stiff. So the 26 is pretty close to a 27p Tempest, etc. I think it will run well with a 25p.

I say too much but in all reality it is good. I just need more seat time with this prop to learn the way it wants to run. I got too much trim in started chine walking. Felt like the bow was going to blow over. Again seat time....

Interesting. So if I'm running a 27p Fury on a 209 with a "stockish" 225 ill be doing ok! I'm shooting for 80. As of now I'm showing 10% slip which was suprising but if they are in fact a bit stiff then it makes sense.

Add a pitch to the calculator when you run it with the Fury. You will be doing well if you can turn the 27, I don't think mine could.

If the Fury runs a pitch stiff, will it run well in hot weather? Go down a pitch possibly? t_nipper what do you run in warm weather?

So today I truly got to air it out. I need a 25 pitch. Not enough rpm on holeshot. I can 5600+ but I think I am going down an inch and adding a set of venting holes.

I have run a 26p Fury to 76gps with a partner and full load with livewells full in 100* heat. I was bouncing off the limiter on my rig at 5650rpm with pedal left. The holeshot on the 26 in the summer is terrible loaded for me and without the tabs. I also run a 27p Tempest and it is pretty similar. When I get a 26 Fury I am having dual pvs holes put in it.

I would have been shocked if you could turn that 26 herk. What is your target rpm's on top end? How did it run at 5600+? If you are close on the top end and mid range is good right now then you might get away with a second set of pvs holes alone.

Target RPM's 5800, 70-72.5600, it ran great once on plane a.d trimmed out. But I think your right, 26 is too much, not sure what direction to go next T. What is your opinion? Keep in mind, I have a carbed motor, not an ego. I know for a fact it is not venting enough. Kind of lost now. Taking opinions, and ideas. T what do you think?

hmmmm.... the vent holes will only help on holeshot not much effect during WOT operation. Sounds like you need a 25.

T nipper, I've got a like new 26 that I would trade for a like new or new 27. Mine has prob 3-5 hours on it and almost zero exhaust staining b/c I run an offshore style above water exhaust. Let me know
