Listen to me good - brand has absolutely NOTHING to do with it. Whatever you catch fish on right now, be it a worm, jig, spinnerbait, whatever - that is your go to confidence bait.

Once you go down the path of brands and obsessing about colors and such, you will lose focus and will have a tough time. Worry about what works for YOU on YOUR waters, not what the hot bait is. Find a technique that works for you and refine it until you master it.

Fishing is mostly in your head, it's a mental game. Don't lose sight of that.

For what it's worth, the things you mentioned are all fine baits. But they all have their time and place. In other words, if the worm bite is on fire, just about any worm will catch you fish. The brand of worm really doesn't mean much.

But Senkos I recommend Gary Yamamoto. That's the one bait I'm confident in. Jigs I'm very confident in Dirty Jigs. With these type of baits, Jigs especially, Confidence
will help you fish that bait to it's full potental. And catch more fish.

I agree with bilgreat! I am a bassfisherman on a major buget (having 6 kids). I have to buy what I can afford. Its all about confidence. First thing I perfected was a worm when i first started fishing. Then a jig, carolina rig, crankbait, etc. When that particular bight was on, I wld fish, fish, fish with that bait til I perfecred it. All the baits you mentioned have always caught fish & will continue to catch fish. Have CONFIDENCE in whatever you are throwing. Good luck!!!!!

Crankbaits, Bandit, and bombers,, can't afford LC,,Lucky-e-strike has some new ones,, they look good( will be buying ) older wiggle warts

    Plastics, ZOOM or YUM

Re: Anyone know of a GOOD Bait brand? (Nebraska outdoors)

About like JWLJW, I fished a worm for a full 2 years, and then added another lure type per year. The only lure I'd fish for a whole season. Different rig or lure the next year, etc. There's still plenty of stuff I don't know how to work very well, but I've got some killah tricks for when the situation is ripe...but I'm getting to the point where I don't always remember what the ripe situation is. And of course, I'm in a rut.
Don't bother me, I'm screwing for virginity.

I killed a 12-pack just to watch it die.

I'm not brand specific at all, if it looks good, I will give it a shot. Sometimes they dont work, other times they do...

+1 on that...I have a mixture of all types of brands and each works well in there own way. Don't put the blinders on and stick to one name brand...otherwise you might be missing out on a good find that someone else has overlooked!

As far as.jigs go you can tie your own so you make them to your liking. I tie mine and I like them way better than any one on the shelf. Net bait makes a great pads craw other than that I use zoom. Craikbaits I use strike king and bandits. Like said by others its all what you have confidence in.
