The one i can think of right away is the Lowepro Fastpack series. The 250 would carry your camera and a few extra lenses, it also will carry up to a 15" laptop and is "carry on" friendly. They also make a bigger one, the 350 that is will hold more stuff and a bigger zoom lens. Check the link below for the 250, from wjhat you describe its exactly what you are looking for. Quality wise im not sure you will find a better bag.
I personally carry the Lowepro Flipside 400AW and i really have not found a better pack for me. The thing i really like about the flipside is the camera door is is actually against my back when i wear it so there is zero chance of gear coming out. I had a canon pack that the zipper worked its way open once and my camera and zoom fell out and got wrecked, that was my old rebel 35mm film and 75-300mm zoom. Needless to say i was not thrilled. The one i have also holds a ton of gear, i have my 7D w battery grip, 70-200mm f2.8L, 24-70 f2.8L, 2x extender, 1.4x extender, 50mm f1.4 and a speedlite 400 in there w room to spare. If i want to really fill it i can throw my 40D and my 17-135 and 70-300 lens in there too and its totally filled and hard to close.

That is the bag I have as well. Can pack my laptop/Canon 40d w/ 70-200mm lens attached + 3 others lens + all my recharging items. The "top" part of the bag (reserved of whatever you want besides camera equip) is REALLY small but that is where I store my larger hoods as I can't get those monsters to fit in the lower part. My bag weighs in excess of 20 lbs when fulled loaded.![]()
Nice padded shoulder straps though.![]()
You already have excellent suggestions but I will throw in what I use (although I am really digging that Fastpack since I could throw my laptop in also).
I didn't buy this bag but it came with my gear when I bought it all from a guy. It is the pro runner 200. It works great for me. Plenty of storage, removable dividers and you can strap a tripod to it also. I keep my body, both lenses, accessories and my camcorder all in there.

Your want for a place to put the ipad i think would rule the 100 out. You also need to think about future expansion. If you get a couple lenses the 100 will instantly be too small. The video 150 would work but you might outgrow that one quickly too.
Thanks. I did some measuring and the 250 is the same size as my backpack that I carry. I will be ordering one here today.
Thanks

That is the only thing I really wish I had at times. I could have used that while hiking in Colorado a few years back.![]()

Yeah, I have used it quite a few times. I didn't know about the tripod "pocket", I just saw that online. I just use the two loop straps on the bottom of the bag and it worked OK. I am going to check into that tripod holder. It looked a lot better.
I haave only used the tripod pouch on mine a few times, it does work great. I carry as monopod a lot and on mine there is a strap on the side that holds it perfect.
Well, The Lowepro camera bag came today. I bought the 250 as sugested on here. All I can say is WOW. It a very nice and sturdy backpack. Is is a little bit bigger that I wanted but after seeing a 150, I know now I made the corrrect choice.
Thanks again for the advice.![]()
