My wife wanted to get pics taken for Christmas and I told her there was no sense it that since we got the D90. I just have to learn how to use it.
Here we are sitting on the patio enjoying a cigar and a beverage after dinner tonight. The air was crisp and every star was out. GREAT evening!

You can also get a wireless remote that you can use too. That's what I've got for my d40. Then you can get all set up and then push the button and take the picture. You don't have to worry about running and getting set before the timer runs out.
I had the timer set for 20 seconds, not much makes me run these days.
I'll have a remote on my list for Santa.
The remotes are nice. Unless you lose it somewhere in 7 Falls and have to buy another one on vacation at the tourist rate
