I was stationed there for the Air Force at Peterson AFB. From there I had to do a remote tour to Korea. Usually after those you get your choice of bases to an extent. I requested to either move back to Illinois to be closer to family or stay there. Sometimes I wonder about my priorities on that, Colo Springs was really growing and getting bigger than we liked and I've heard it has grown even more. This was about 9 years ago when we left.
