    Jerk Bait Color

Other than your super secret color, what are good colors for Conway, Brewer, Atkins, and AR river. Haven't had much luck with jerk baits, but would like to learn... Thanks!

Re: Jerk Bait Color (Sneezy Beltran)

My two favorites are, in order:
    1) The color we don't speak of.
    2) The color we don't even speak of speaking of.

Other than those two? Can't go wrong with "clown".
I think the new secret color is "A-Rig"..........

Not to Hijack the thread, even though that does have a tendancy to happen around here. Does anyone have any suggestions for clear water that are not super top secret? I am also going to try jerkbait fishing this winter and bought a couple of visions from Tackle Warehouse, but just made my "best guess" on the colors. I primarily fish Greeson, DeGray, and Ouachita on occasion.

    Re: Jerk Bait Color (demolitionman13)

My top 5 picks for clear water to cover both Sunny and cloudy days....
    1. Pro Blue
    2. Skeleton Tennessee Shad
    3. French Pearl
    4. MG Shad
    5. Chartreuse or Sexy Shad
Table Rock shad would also be a good color...

Thanks! I wonder how anyone ever found out about "the color we don't speak of" if nobody speaks of it......

    Re: Jerk Bait Color (demolitionman13)

Can't beat Pro Blue for sunny weather.
For some reason, Clown works well.....even ultra clear water.

For overcast days.....I just can't say.

    I was serious.
Well, just don't order MegaBass's version of "clown"....unless you plan on wearing sunglasses to handle that bait.

No, I have way too many Visions, I can now no longer afford the knockoffs.

    Re: Jerk Bait Color (cmclairday2)

I have been throwing the Lucky E Strike jerkbaits and have been happy with them. I have been using the one with the black sides and orange belly at Hamilton and catching fish since the water is off colored right now.
