Other than your super secret color, what are good colors for Conway, Brewer, Atkins, and AR river. Haven't had much luck with jerk baits, but would like to learn... Thanks!![]()

IMHO GG gill is a great color for stained water....![]()
My two favorites are, in order:
1) The color we don't speak of.
2) The color we don't even speak of speaking of.
Other than those two? Can't go wrong with "clown".
I think the new secret color is "A-Rig"..........
Do you recommend any of the colors in this bait? IM replies are ok.http://www.tacklewarehouse.com....html
Not to Hijack the thread, even though that does have a tendancy to happen around here. Does anyone have any suggestions for clear water that are not super top secret? I am also going to try jerkbait fishing this winter and bought a couple of visions from Tackle Warehouse, but just made my "best guess" on the colors. I primarily fish Greeson, DeGray, and Ouachita on occasion.
My top 5 picks for clear water to cover both Sunny and cloudy days....
1. Pro Blue
2. Skeleton Tennessee Shad
3. French Pearl
4. MG Shad
5. Chartreuse or Sexy Shad
Table Rock shad would also be a good color...
Ok, thank you very much.

Pro Blue or Tennessee Shad....and there's always "the color we don't speak of"....![]()
Thanks! I wonder how anyone ever found out about "the color we don't speak of" if nobody speaks of it......
Nobody speaks of it because nobody knows what it is.It may have been all ready spoken of............................................![]()
Good point! It may have been. I will give some of these a try and see if I can find it.![]()
Can't beat Pro Blue for sunny weather.
For some reason, Clown works well.....even ultra clear water.
For overcast days.....I just can't say.![]()

I was serious.
Well, just don't order MegaBass's version of "clown"....unless you plan on wearing sunglasses to handle that bait.

I have been throwing the Lucky E Strike jerkbaits and have been happy with them. I have been using the one with the black sides and orange belly at Hamilton and catching fish since the water is off colored right now.

Fishing is much more than casting and retrieving and playing your catch. It's the wind in your face and the sound of wakening birds as the sun peeks over the horizon. It's discovering the magic in each new place and unlocking the mysteries that lure above and below the surface.
