Two wrongs don't make a right , but three lefts do.
The lake level is basically the same all the time except for the winter drawdown. Its been hot lately. Fish the docks with topwaters, toads and pop-rs, and jigs or maybe a shakey head.
Week and a half ago it put out 3 or 4 17+lb bags, one being 18+lbs.

aint that the truth!!
why not just go another 20 minutes west and fish Ouachita the water temp is 75-77 degrees and the fishing has been pretty good. Lake is about 8 feet low but its nowhere near as bad as it was last year.![]()

Life is made up of years that mean nothing, and moments that mean it all!!!!!!!!
A small buzzbait is usually a safe bet on Hamilton this time of year. I haven't fished it lately but if I was going to go tomorrow it would be the first bait I would throw. A spinnerbait is a good second choice or a fluke type bait around the docks. The water level is pretty much the same all the time unless you go after the yearly drawdown. Right now the water is a typical pool. Ouachita is pretty decent right now. Like stated the water is down several feet but that's not unusual this time of year. I caught several on topwater out there a couple of weeks ago. Guys are also catching some on cranks and of course the old standby, jighead worm. Good luck, hope you guys catch a bunch.
