    Night fishing

Anybody really been much yet this year? Wanting to go catch a good mess for a fish fry but it's to hot to pleasure fish during the day. Also if anybody knows where they are tearing em up on trotlines or yoyos that would work as well

    Re: Night fishing (southpaw11)

Been multiple times each week for the past several weeks. About all I do during the summer, as I'm not a river rat and daytime fishing when water temps are 90+ is tough, unless your on schoolers.

However, I don't even own a trotline, yoyo, noodle, etc....

    Re: Night fishing (wildkat7)

    Speaking of jugs.
    Something I thought was funny.
Reading the "no more tournament anglers on Lake Monticello deal", got me to thinking.
IMO, I think most folks, around here anyway, that are fishing for fish to eat....are not really concerned with length limits, or creel limits. If the catch one, it goes in the box regardless of size. They don't stop at 6 or 10 fish either.
Again, just my opinion and I think "MOST", not ALL.

Yesterday evening, bout dark, running the chute from Piney Bay, back to the River. I passed a 14ft jon boat. And then proceeded to dodge catfish jugs. Best I could figure? At LEAST 200 OF THEM spread thick over 2 miles of water.

Isn't there not a 20 jug per person limit?
I think the new secret color is "A-Rig"..........

I think you can only legally put out as many jugs that equals your limit for what you are fishing for.

25 years ago when I went with my grangpa some, yes, it was 20 jugs per person. I do not have a clue if it has changed or not

    From game and fish...
Jug and Noodle FishingUp to 20 free-floating fishing devices (jugs or noodles) not attached to a stationary object or boat may be used per person.
All free-floating fishing devices must be clearly marked with the user's name and address, driver's license number or current vehicle tag number.
Free-floating fishing devices may be unattended only from sunset to sunrise.

Not a statement, just a question.
I've never called you "PorkChop", AND, you didn't look like a blind sow to me, but, I wouldn't know anyway. I'm not a poultry farmer.

Now when it comes to goats - Danno's the man! You might as well be a poultry farmer. That big ol chicken house around the corner from your shop's gotta get pretty fragrant sometimes....
