Western Division-Help

Guys... Steve has started the new TBTS Western division with some of your best lakes in the state.... Steve hasn't recieved much feedback for this division and so I'm asking for your help. We need the support of the anglers in this area and would ask you to give Steve's division a try. The TBTS Championship is an all cash payout and we offer a great AOY program as well.... fish five in a single division and your in...fish seven in the Hawg Division (Satilite) and your in. One membership get you access to 36 tournaments across the state.

We are sanctioned by all your boat mfgs with their bonus program. Check thier individual guidelines and see how teams can qualify.

Looks like a Western Division centered around Hot Springs -- maybe should be called a Hot Springs division. Where's Millwood??? Looks like you could have tossed a Ouchita and maybe a Degray or Hamilton to get a couple of Millwoods and get truly in the Western side. JMHO

Sounds good to me but Steve's the director....I'd love to have Millwood.

I agree with John. Lake Erlin would fit as western lake as well. South Arkansas Media has just opposite scheduling with its schedule including Erlin and Felsenthal 2x each, 1 Millwood, and 1 Lake Columbia. Millwood being the only tournament North of i-30.

Its a severe economical disadvantage for teams that are not centrally located. If you are going to compete for some of the prize money you need to practice a few times prior to fishing the tournament. With gas prices, the cost of lodging, and eating its hard to justify entering tournaments that are far away.

Hey Rebeav.........sounds like we need someone to step up and get a TBTS Southwestern Division going. Probably wouldn't be too awful hard to put 7 events together this early in the game.

I know that Fred would love to have someone put together a division down there. Would make for an even better Championship pot.

Yea it sounds good but there's not even enough interest to start a club around here (see arkoutdoors.com post I made and had 4 responses). I would be willing to help out anyone that could do it but I work in the oilfield and my schedule is never known. My hats off to directors and the trouble (s) they go through to appease everyone.

First, let me say my hats off to the directors for tournaments. I've done it on a local level and it gets into your fishing time. for this I have all the respect in the world. that being said, I don't think we need a SW Ark division as such. I think (and this is me) getting too many divisions will hurt the draw of overlapping divisions. I think (MHO) that a Western division, spread into SW Arkansas, West Arkansas would pull the locals from their respected area, plus catch the guys that wanted to follow the circuit. By putting the circuit in a "Hot Springs" area, it has created a Hot Springs bass club and I honestly can't see someone from actual West Arkansas, SW Arkansas traveling to compete on lakes they don't consider as "home lakes" against "homefolk". Samething would happen for a SW Arkansas circuit, it would become a SW Ark bass club and others wouldn't travel to fish against hometown folks. JMHO.
