    Tournament Directors.

I sell CTD parts for a living. Just yesterday I advertised a APPS and a VP44 of a GenII CTD. (it was an H.O. ISP 24V 6BT just to be crystal clear).

When you're setting up your website, your flyer, or whatever you use to advertise your tournament. Try not to be to school for cool. You will gain more entries by using simple instructions and terminology that somebody that has never fished before can understand.
Sure, tournament veterans can figure it out, but, even then....If I can't figure it out with one quick read, Odds are....I won't read it again and I won't be there. (and that's one less entry fee)

I figure there are 100 people out there that need those parts that I advertised above. With that add, I narrowed it down to 20 that actually know what I'm talking about. (and, if they recognize that terminology, they know what the parts are worth WHOLESALE, and where to buy them cheapest).
Those 20 are not the customers I'm looking for.

Anybody need a Throttle Position Sensor or a Fuel Injector Pump off of a 2001 Dodge Ram with a diesel engine and 6spd transmission?
I think the new secret color is "A-Rig"..........

    Re: Tournament Directors. (SkeeterDD22)

You lost me at CTD parts -- then again, I don't own a smart phone cause I can't work em. I did understand 24V -- however probably should have said "24VDC" for accuracy.

Agree with the terms of tourney. If I have to do alot of math to figure out where I break even, or how much I win, then I'm gonna loose interest.

BTW, I did recognize the word "diesel" and Dodge

Your rite Danny. When i see this:APPS and a VP44 of a GenII CTD. (it was an H.O. ISP 24V 6BT just to be crystal clear).
    It looks like this:*&^&%$$%$#@%^^(&%$$

Now when you say this:Anybody need a Throttle Position Sensor or a Fuel Injector Pump off of a 2001 Dodge Ram with a diesel engine and 6spd transmission?

I know exactly what your talkin about.(or at least a lot closer to know what your sayin)

    Dodge Ram diesel trucks.
    Gen I (1st generation, body style 89-93)
Gen II (2nd generation, body style 94-02)
Gen II (3rd generation, body style 03 to present??)
P-Pump (fuel injector pump 94-98 with 12 valve engine)
    12v (12 valve engine)
    24v (24 valve engine)
VP44 (fuel injector pump 98-02 with 24 valve engine)
APPS / TPS (throtte position sensor)
    98.5 (1998 model with a 24 valve engine...titled as a 1998)
KDP (killer dowl pin. Timing cover alignment dowl pin that vibrates loose on 94-98 12 valve trucks. Falls down in the timing gears and rapidly attempts to exit the engine via flying through the side of the timing gear housing)

The list goes on. BUT, I don't converse that way. It's difficult to tell whether the customer knows, or, has just stopped by a shop or been playing on Google and picked up some new cool words.

Never assume your audience knows which lake, how much it costs, which ramp, which PARK, AND...How to proceed with what they need to do to fish the tournament. New Anglers fish their 1st tournament every day. If you want them to fish yours and come back again and again......Design the instructions/information so even an idiot could understand it.
Just make it easier than falling down.

I hate to say it, actually it hurts a little bit, but Danny has a really good point here.
