On my way home from the lake....

    Von makes the comment.
"Ya know, I've caught my heaviest limits on a crankbait"

I thought about it, and....Me too!
The four heaviest five fish limits that I can remember, came on a crankbait.

Which, I still don't put too much "stock" in because the flat out Heaviest was pushing 25lbs from......HAMILTON
I think the new secret color is "A-Rig"..........

My heaviest limits all have come from a jig....

18lbs on Catherine during a 4 hour night tourny...
17lbs on Kentucky lake as a co-angler during the AFS this past May...

Still have yet to top the 20lb mark during a tourny....

Frogs and jerkbaits prolly have accounted for my best sacks of fish.

A good portion of mine have come on a crankbait of some type... Biggest in a tourney was 23.60 but have caught bigger strings not during tournaments. Caught a 26lb sack on a big worm at night and some high teens on a jig.

Re: On my way home from the lake.... (Dsand)

18+lb stringers (during tournaments and just out fishing). Too many to remember.
Everything from shakey heads, big worms, lizards, jigs of all sorts, jerkbaits, frogs, etc...

But, the four I distinctly remember were "crankbait" limits.
And I think that very stange for me because I don't "religiously" throw a crankbait.
Very seldom do I even have one tied on in the rod locker, much less, on deck.

Cranks have accounted for my heaviest also. Had a two day (7 fish per day limit) last year on Arkansas River of exactly 52 lbs. Not too shabby for 14 Merisach green fish !!....................................RR

Hoping to get out tomorrow or Friday, and will definitely be out Saturday. Don't think we will be setting any sack records, but should catch a lot of fish!

Okay, there will definitely be two sacks in one boat, but that is not a record for Greers!
