    Mountain Home Arkansas

Well boys, it looks like my work might take me to Mountain Home area.

Does anyone have any opinions on the best place to live, i am going to need an apartment or rental home for six months to a year.

Any neighborhoods i should avoid? Any neighborhood that i want to strive for.

    Thanks for your input

Congrats Steve!! Mountain Home is a wonderful area. Bull Shoals and Norfork in your back yard. Arguably the best trout fishing the country. Good schools and lots of out lier communities to communte from. Area's such as Cotter, Flippin are well within commuting from Mt. Home.

Might make this post on the BassCat board, Rick Pierce or someone that actually lives in Mt. Home will give you some local information personally I am sure.

    Wonderful area........

not really a bad area. There are several places that specialize in rental property. check with julie wagner at mtn. home realty, bashan bradbury at gilbert realty. Paige properties or full circle properties both have large property bases to rent from. It all depends on how much you are looking to spend a month.

If you want to live in a rural setting, contact Forrest Woods Farm. They are located on Hwy 178 by the Ranger plant in Flippin. Forrest and Mrs. Nina own several farms in the area and they remodel and rent the farm houses. I rented from them for two years and they are great landlords.

It's a beautiful area that is an outdoorsmans paradise! I just moved here from the St. Louis area in 2007. Let me know if I can answer any other questions for ya! By the way, what line of work are you in? Not much here is the reason I ask.

You might look in Bull Shoals. It's next to the lake for bass fishing, next to the White River for trout fishing and only a 10 minute drive to work at the Ranger factory

Randy Hopper probably wouldn't get too excited about you asking Rick Pierce about housing in the Mt. Home area. Unless, of course, you asked that question while negotiating a price for a new Puma
