Something funny happened

Fished a local tourny out of my partners skeeter 20i today. There was a guy there that had the skeeter fx20 with the 250 sho on it. We let him get a bout a hundered yards out in front of us while he was running wide open. Then we let my partners boat turn loose; needless to say we passed him like he was sitting still. I would gave anything to have known what he was thinking in his head. Oh I forgot to mention that he had his motor sent to Hydro Tec and has a phase 3 kit on it. The guys at Hyrdo Tec do some awesome work sure gave me a laugh today

Not trying to be a SA, but how do you know he was running wide open ?

Not sure where you got your info, but I don't believe HT has made a phase kit for the SHO. At least not yet.

I think he was talking about his buddys 20i having the phase kit, not the fx..

Had 2 people and gear was running 75. I assumed that is wide open looking at the performance bulletins.

Good thing your laughing now. Give it some time you wont get that same laugh. Cam timing change. Cam change. Ported cylinder heads. Blowers of some kind.There is alot of performance to be squezzed out of the SHO.

Comparing modified motor to a stock…not so funny but I’d bet it would be funny if both of you were at a gas pump. I wonder who would finish pumping first and had time and $ to get a 12 pack.

There are some pretty serious performance mods already out there for these SHO motors... They are responding very well and seemingly begging for more!!
