    SuperBass at Norfork Lake 4-19-2009

    I will have more info this week but the first SuperBass Tournament of the year on Norfork was great other than the weather. There were 19 boats that showed up to fish and 12 that called that morning saying they wern't coming due to the weather. 18 1/2 lbs won it fishing beds with a tube. I will have all details for yall this week. Congrats to SuperBass for making an extra effort to give Norfork anglers something to fish...     The 1st Norfork Division event went very smooth. The weather started out great, in the mid 50's, but a threat of rain later in the day. 17 of the 19 teams brought fish to the scales totaling 183.81lbs. All fish were released back to the lake alive ready to fight another day. Thank you anglers for taking proper care of your catch. Congratulations Guys!

    The team of Lynn Luther of Viola, AR & Barry Aldridge of Salem, AR brought the heaviest sack of bass to the scales with 5 fish totaling 18.32lbs earning them 1st Place & a $900 check for their efforts. Lynn and Barry report catching their fish on lizzards and jigs in 5-10 feet of water in spawing coves on beds. Congratulations Guys!

    The team of Rob Williams of Mtn. Home, AR & Kurt Evan of Hardy, AR earned 2nd Place with a limit of fish totaling 16.40lbs earning the team $300 in trade for their great efforts. Rob & Kurt reported catching their fish in 5-10 feet of water on channel swing banks. Great Job Guys!

    The team of Fred Hale of West Plains, MO & Waco Johnson of West Plains, MO landed in 3rd Place with a limit totaling 15.56lbs earning the team $225 in trade for their great efforts. Fred & Waco reported catching their fish in spawning areas on jigs & tubes anywhere from 1-10 feet deep. Congratulations Guys!

    The team of Pat Goodwin of Cherokee Village, AR & Jeff Johnson of Ash Flat, AR brought the tournaments Big Bass to the scales, weighing in at 4.67lbs and good for a $190 check in trade. Great Job Guys!
