what all are you doing to the motor?
todd at c&o marine ran one on an allison 21' and i think it ran 90 or close to it. only concern is the lower unit.

Jim, I think the lower unit is going to be fine. It has a new propshaft and cone bearing to help support it But if anyone can hurt one.........we certainly can, but I think it is going to be alot more beefy.

come on wayne, its been a couple of days. quit messing around and give us an update. im thinking it will be a triple digit rig or real close. not sure if it will go over 100, but if i remember right, someone ran right at 100 with a stock 250xs. so im thinking it will be pretty similar speeds or maybe a tad slower.

I have seen them listed for 15,400.00 I would buy one if I could get 15K trade in on mine.

Ran the Yamaha SHO 250hp on Keith Tuma's (dentguy) Stroker today.........pretty impressive Terrible conditions - 30 mph winds and lots of boat traffic Ran 96 mph with a 32 pitch TXP. Not the best selection of props. There is 100mph in the rig with some good props...........maybe a 32 Performer ET?? The thing is a beast

Wayne do you feel the 250 SHO is stonger than a 250 HPDI? If I want to buy a 250 SHO how long will the wait be?

Re: SHO project in the works (hooken203)

We did a 250 hpdi project last year on another Stroker with the gearcase mod like we did on this one. Both of them stock and the hpdi ran 91 mph! The SHO is better by 5 mph! I'm sure there are some out there in a dealer near you?

Re: SHO project in the works (Wayne Worthy)

Wayne thanks for that information. Now that my engine has blown up for the second time in 10 months. Its time for it to go. With numbers like that I dont know why I would go with a two stroke. Dealers around me dont have them. I checked with three of them. Around here they rarely stock anything that would go on a bass boat. Two of these dealers are over one hundred miles away. I will see you next Friday so you can do an autopsy on my power head. Then sell me an SHO.
