    Arkie Cup Result...

Me and Jason finished 10th out of 110 boats yesterday. Made a pretty nice check, and had a great time on the water. We brought 10.44 pounds to the scales yesterday, and was kind of down on ourselves for the bag we caught. But when we got to the scales and started looking at the weights, we knew that it had been a tough day for everyone. 12 pounds and change wound up winning it. So we were a good kicker bite away from making a run at it. All in all, it was a great experience, and cant wait for next year.
Here is a pic of a 3 lb, 3 oz. Kentucky that we brought in yesterday...

Good job Mark. I fished our club Tx on Lake Dardanell and we had 11 boats attend and I won with 7.03 pounds I had 3 fish. I did not think I would even be in the top 5 but none of our guys found the fish. We launched out of the state park, and there were 2 other tournaments going out of there. The disabled vetrans Tx went out of there too it took 17 lbs to win that one.

Yes it was we had a couple of guys that went from the state park up to Piney and they said that it was as rough as they had ever seen it.

There were tournaments all over the place at Dardanelle. I was passing boats, boats were passing me, meeting boats, and boats running sideways.....
    Congrats on your win also!
    What club was it?

I am on the committee for the Arkie cup. Next year I will remember to post about the 2010 tournament. This year we paid out over $12000 to the winners with 113 boats (paid out 24 places) and raised over $6500 for the children's Hospital

    Cook's Tackle System / Okuma/ Rod Glove / JJ'S Magic Dipping Dye /2K jigs

Fishing is much more than casting and retrieving and playing your catch. It's the wind in your face and the sound of wakening birds as the sun peeks over the horizon. It's discovering the magic in each new place and unlocking the mysteries that lure above and below the surface.

Ron, I've actually made several posts about the Arkie Cup through the year trying to drum up some attendance.
