    hpdi rev limiter

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...fGear
anyone ever seen this or used it? I seem to have problems propping my boat. a prop either comes out of the hole good and hits the limiter, or it comes out of the hole terrible, but never gets into the limiter and has awesome top end. seems like raising the rev limiter, only a couple of hundred rpms would help me. but im too chicken to try it.

Not sure about that but a light weight flywheel will help a lot!!!!
Loaded with two people I can come out the hole pretty good with a 34 bullet performer 3 blade.

I would lower the engine just a 1/4 inch and see how that runs...others may have better ideas..

Wayne, Will this be available for the 3.1 liter motors?

    Re: hpdi rev limiter (Florida294)

No need for the 3.1L, It has a wire that can be cut to give it higher limiter.

    Re: hpdi rev limiter (Florida294)

Aw man. So this will just a rev limit thing? I was thinking you guys had figured out how to just reprogram higher hp into motor via the ECU? Can you guys put in the 225hp hpdi program in a 200hp hpdi ecu? What about the ox66 ecu? You think you will be able to change programming on them?

    Re: hpdi rev limiter (smkur50)

No we will be able to re-flash everything. We can make any 3.3L ECU anything you want. The 3.1L ox66 is not re-programmable at this time.
