I tried the connecting the old and new to pull thru, the MFI trailer I had just wouldn't work. I know the original was pulled thru when it was built. The holes the brake line went in were way too small for a fitting to go into and the one by the axles would have been a 90 degree bend, close radius. I gave up. Good luck
